What can I say about the beautiful gem that is The Beach House - hidden on the cliffs of Cayton. If it’s possible for a house to give you a hug this place does. From the moment we stepped through the door we felt comfortable- as did our fussy Cockerpoo who never settles anywhere - well he did here.

Where is The Beach House Yorkshire?

The Beach House Yorkshire is located in Cayton Bay, just south of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire coast.

It sits on a private coastal road with direct access to the beach, meaning you are right next to the path that takes you from the stunning cliffs down to the sand.

Cayton Bay is known for its unspoilt beauty, dramatic cliffs, wide sandy beach, and peaceful atmosphere — yet it’s only minutes from Scarborough and close to Filey, Whitby, and the North York Moors

How far is the beach from the house?

The beach is literally right in front of the house.

Just follow the direct beach path down from the cliffs to the sand.

We do all we can to make dogs feel very welcome, because we are dog lovers ourselves and we know that your dog’s enjoyment adds to your holiday fun. We know that most dog owners are responsible, and we trust our guests to look after the home. That means we don’t have silly rules – if your dog goes on the furniture at home, they will want to on holiday as well! We know that, and we’re fine with it! In fact, we’d love you to send us a photo of your dogs enjoying all The Beach House Yorkshire has to offer.

Our décor is cosy rather than fancy, meaning you can relax about dog hair and slobber. Let your dogs enjoy cuddles on the settee, let them upstairs so they can be close to you. We provide towels, blankets, toys and treats for your furry friends, and have a securely enclosed garden so you can sit outside and enjoy the view without worrying about your pets coming to any harm.

Plus, Cayton Bay is one of the best dog-friendly beaches on the Yorkshire coast. It is dog friendly all year round, unlike many nearby beaches with seasonal restrictions.

You’ll also find:

• Easy access back to the house for muddy paws and tired legs
• Separate outbuilding with shower to hose down those pups after a muddy walk or beach run

ACCESSIBILITY

The layout makes it easy to relax together while still having space to unwind.

The property benefits from one downstairs bedroom but there is no downstairs bathroom. There is an external outbuilding with a toilet and shower, but this is designed to be used as a space to wash down after a muddy walk or beach adventure. There’s no reason it can’t be used as a functioning downstairs bathroom for guests unable to manage stairs.

Unfortunately, the property is not large enough to be fully wheelchair accessible.

As parents of a child with additional needs, we understand the adjustments that can be needed to make holidays possible and enjoyable. We welcome guests with additional needs and will do all we can to help make your stay as relaxing and fun as possible – please just message us when booking to discuss your needs.
